$360 for the Boxed version

or

$350 OEM

They have a good rating at reseller ratings and also have the Gigabyte x48 boards in stock, be careful not to get the x48T version unless you want to use DDR3 memory.

EXcaliberPC.com has been around for a while. I got (still have) a socket 478 Alpha heatsink from them BITD. They closed down shop for a while, and then reopened with a redesigned site.

Some things are a bit pricey but everything points to the place being ligit and they have the product in stock (for now) for those that need it right now. There were 63 boxed in stock late last night, now down to 29.

I'd be all over this deal if I knew of a mobo that posts with it without needing a bios flash as I don't have another 775 cpu to flash with. Does anyone know if such a ddr2 mobo exists (works right out of the box)?

Any x48, 780i, and 790i board will post. I believe the x38 boards will too. I ordered a DFI LP LT P35 T2R from motherboardpro.com and that booted fine with a 45nm chip. For P35 boards it would depend on when they were shipped to retailers.

By the way, I got the EOM X3350 for $324 shipped from moogr.com

If you put in the code 'marchmadness' they took 10% off. Don't know if it is still viable.

The x48 should, the problem with the nvidia boards in all the reviews I've read suggest that quad core overclocking is extreemly difficult and edgy at best.

The x38 should support it but theres no guarantee you won't need a bios update either. P35 might support it too with a bios update. But to get these updated the computer has to post, but it won't post with a processor it doesn't recognize. I believe computer engineers will likely begin accounting for this soon because of this insanity with the 45nm's, someone somewhere has to be wanting to impress there boss.
