Intel Willow motherboard, where to get sound drivers?

I can't find sound drivers for the intel willow motherboard. I've tried the intel web site and windrivers.com and I can't find any, it would help if I knew what sound card it has, I think it's Audio Codec'97 sound card not sure though.

Do a search on deja.com using 98se and shutdown. There are volumes written on this.

Try first to disable fast shutdown. If that doesn't solve your problem, then you're in for a lengthy troubleshooting procedure described at the Microsoft support.

Ok got it to work, I deleted power managent and reinstalled it.

Now anyone know what onboard sound card is in there? I can't get any specs from the intel site about this motherboard.

I think that most mobos with onboard sound use the DirectSound AC97 Audio chip. I don't know the model number for the willow but this page has links leading to audio drivers for the mentioned models.

I think I'm not sure though that the WL810 is the model number, and intel doesn't have any drivers for it, it's in the OEM section.

Got it! Crap. No drivers. Looking through the Acrobat manual says it uses the AC 97 Audio Codec with a CS4299 Crystal semiconductor. Have you tried to use a generic driver from the company that makes it (Yamaha?)

I read their AC 97 2.2 specifications and they probably use the same chip on all their mobos. Try and see if the I810 driver would work. Otherwise I'd say check & post a request here.
