"Only the Paranoid Survive"

-Andy Grove, INTEL.

"Never surrender; never give up. I mean no surrender, no retreat. You know, a lot of guys say, "We're pulling back for now." [They're] full of ****. "

-Jerry Sanders, AMD.

This is PRECISELY how they go against each other. :)

Why oh why?

I wonder if any of the Intel or AMD zealots on this board have a vested interest in either company. They way they defend their favorite processor, you'd think they owned the damn company. I'll bet very few if any have any kind of vested interest. It's like a bunch of middle school kids arguing over which music group "rules."

Let's see..

Percentage of my spare money invested in Intel: 0%

Percentage of my spare money invested in AMD: 100%

The hammer will be the next standard. A $5billion company setting the standard for a $100billion industry against its only other competition - a $200billion company - means the $5billion company has room to grow.

AMD is MAD rearranged!!! Intel is Linte' (French for lint) rearranged. Your choice. Do you want Lint or MAD?
