<< Maybe I missed something, but what chipsets exactly will be announced? Except the 133FSB i850E? i845E? i845G? I'd like to know that very much. >>

I think it will just be the i850E, the other ones are supposed to come out at the end of May.

<< WOOT!!!! Does this mean new 533fsb chips as well? >>

Yup

From the Article:

"The chipmaker will announce three new Pentium 4 chips for desktop PCs, along with a new version of its 850 chipset. The new chipset offers a faster 533MHz bus and supports a speedier version of Rambus memory, 1066MHz RDRAM, sources said.

Intel's new flagship Pentium 4 will be a 2.53GHz chip. The other new Pentium 4's will run at 2.26GHz and 2.4GHz. All work with the faster bus."

Maybe this will finally light a fire under AMD's ass to release something new (TBred)? I hope so but somehow I see Monday as an Intel only event...

From the looks of things, the T-Bred will be AMD's answer to the P4's on the 133mhz fsb.

Yah. I will be expecting to wake up Monday morning with a 850e/845e/533fsb/2.53GHz vs. a 2200+ or maybe even 2400+ T-Bred.

Why would anyone want to buy one of the 533mhz fsb type CPUs? You can overclock the current ones to higher rates using just a new mobo with the 850E or SIS645DX chipset. How much of an overclock can we get out of this bunch?

So you can get an Athlon-raping overclock of 667MHz FSB! :D

I hear people say that "I've already got 533MHz FSB." Well yeah, and people will "already" be having 667MHz FSB once the stock 533MHz FSB P4's are out next week.

Btw, anyone else think AMD is going to release a 2400+ Tbred next week? They should, otherwise they'll fall significantly behind Intel.
