Ok, I'm using an intel chassis with an Intel STL2 server motherboard (dual p3), a SRCU31L pci intel scsi raid card connected to 3 18gb IBM scsi drives in a hot swap enclosure, id'd according to bay number (0,1,2), all firmwares are up to date as well as windows drivers.

I have the drives in a RAID5 array and "hot plug support" enabled for the array via the raid configurator but when I remove a drive, it's not fault tolerant.

Windows crashes and the array is dead, hafta re-ghost

what is the problem here?!

Shouldn't I be able to remove 1 drive at any given time and replace it with no issues or replace with a new drive and it should rebuild?!
