Hi,

So I've heard Intel has this technology with SSDs and regular mechanical hard drives where say say you have a 128GB solid state drive and a 3TB regular hard drive, well apparently you can set aside 20GB, 40GB, 60GB or 80GB of your solid state drive to somehow link up your 3TB to your solid state so basically your 3TB acts as one big solid state and enjoys all the benefits from it?

I forgot what this was called or if there was a program for this.

Thank you. : ]

Intel's "Smart Response Technology" or SRT.

Works with up to 64GB of any SSD but requires specific chipsets, like the Z68, Z77, etc.

It HELPS your most-used apps and Windows perform snappier, but my experience is that it won't make everything feel like an SSD. It helps, but it's not a miracle. ;)
