Intel SSD Firmware Upgrade Question

I recently updated my intel 320 series ssd firmware to the newest version. After doing so I saw that the raw smart values reported in the intel ssd toolbox were completely different. Specifically the erase fail count value. Should I be concerned about this?

Many users on the intel forums reported that after an update of the 320, smart values reports by the toolbox were erased.

I have upgraded 3 x 320 drives myself and I noticed that the values on all were erased, but after a while new values were displayed.

Personally I think the values are erased and then begin again. Just a guess tho. Not a massive bug but still suprising it got past intel's "rigorous" validation.

Well with the raw values for the erase fail count they were at 0 now they are all in the thousands. I didn't know if that was good or bad. I thought the raw value changing like that indicated a problem.

I can't really help on the technical behind the values. All I can confirm with you is that since flashing, peoples values got screwed up. At least you know it's not you.

Ya that's true thank you though for that. After seeing that I was hesitant on upgrading the rest of the intel ssds but I figure there's no harm now.
