Hi,
I have a Intel X25-M 160GB drive with frimware 2CV102HA. Now there is an update to 02HD.
When I tried to update the firmware, the system scan did not find an Intel ssd on my system. I have changed the SATA settings on BIOS to "Combatibility" mode from "AHCI" mode, and I could see the drive. I have already installed windows 7 ultimate on the SSD and and zillion drivers
to support my lenovo w510 laptop.
My question is should I update the firmware in compatability mode and change back it to "AHCI" ? will it work ? I just dont want to blew up anything. (especially hardware) ?
Please any help and suggestions will be much appreciated...
regards
