Intel SSD 520 240GB or Samsung 830 256GB?

I have been asked by a friend of mine to recommend a 240GB SSD (no smaller) . I shortlisted the above two drives which are readily available in NZ. The Samsung is about NZ$100 cheaper than the Intel. Friend is using XP on an (old) C2Q system - no SATA 3 ports.

Wondering if it is worth to get the Intel over the Samsung for the price premium. Any advice would be appreciated.

If the Samsung is cheaper, then it's a no-brainer.

Intel's Utility is more user friendly

Samsung without a shadow of doubt if speed is the only factor. Price wise get intel if it is more than 20% cheaper
