Intel Smart Connect: useless or not?

I am rather disappointed with the current crop of programs supported by this. Anybody using it on a desktop? I wish, I could wake up computer and do other stuff.
 
It's up to you.

What Smart Connect does is be like a Tablet/Smartphone in that applications can do live updates even when its set to sleep. Of course you can update versions and such, but it does small things like having your weather Tile be updated as soon as the computer is up.

Of course most applications don't support that feature in the Windows world, because the feature wasn't available in previous devices.
