Intel SL6PG on D845GEBV2

Will Intel Pentium 4 SL6PG work on an Intel D845EEA2U?

As long as that motherboard is a PPGA FC-PGA2, and supports 133 Mhz FSB processors, it shouldn't have any problems with it. I couldn't find any information on that board, though. I'm thinking you mistyped it, since this thread is the only thing Google turned up about an Intel D845EEA2U: http://www.google.com/search?q=D845EEA2U&hl=en&filter=0

My mistake My old motherboard was an Intel D815EEA2U. My current Board is an Intel D845GEBV2. Old habits die hard.

Well, according to Intel, as long as it has BIOS revision P09 or greater, it will support it: link.

Well, the SL6PG is a mobile Pentium 4 chip. I know the web page you are talking about and it's rather vague.

I used a mobile P4 2.0Ghz on an 845PE-chipset board from QDI, had it OCed to 2.4GHz using a 200Mhz FSB.

Are you sure that the SL6PG is a mobile processor? Because I've got one and it's a 478 Northwood processor.

I think I made a mistake. But generally speaking will a mobile P4 work with my board? More importantly, My BIOS?
