I want to make an SSD RAID 6 for LAN use.

My budget opens for 7 x 400GB Intel s3700 SSD.

For a bit less I can get temptling 7 x 800GB Intel s3500 SSD.

Both options will outperform other bottlenecks in the setup. There will be heavy writing to the RAID, so wear and tear is a concern. s3500 disks are much cheaper so I could overprovision them A LOT and still get much more diskspace.

Use in server for graphics work, Macs with InDesign, Photoshop etc.
This will be main work area, and jobs ported to HDs for archives.

Thanks for any input
