Question Intel s-Spec general question...

How come some Intel CPU models have the exact same stepping, but different s-Spec? And which s-Spec would be best in these cases? Makes no sense to me.

I'm looking at:

SLAQJ
vs.
SLAZ3

Ancient CPU, yes.

Well, turns out in this case, SLAZ3 fixes a bug of sorts pertaining to false overheating readings (in SLAQJ).
