Intel RST 9.6 or Intel matrix storage manager??
Which driver or both?

I use an Intel 80gb G2 in my lappy with Intel PM55 chipset.

Thanks!

The drivers are mutually exclusive.

Use the RST driver as it is most current and optionally forgo the application since only providing information rather than functionality for non-RAID configurations.

It depends on whether or not you are running RAID.

RST 8.9.0.1023 has a better interface, and allows more control. RST 9.6.0.1014 works better with RAID, and has a better LOOKING interface, but with less features.

which one....the matrix storage manager?

I figure uninstall it, and install RST 9.6?

thank you!

RST is the current software (driver and application), particularly suitable for SSD. The application itself is optional depending upon the package or may be uninstalled while leaving the driver.

MSM is the previous software (driver and application).

So yes, uninstall MSM driver and application and install RST 9.6 as you like.
