I've kept waffling too. I really think SKL-X or KBL-X will do it (depending on whether I think I need to stick with more cores or not). My only disappointment is the lack of PCIe 4.0 - which would have been nice since I expect to have this system for quite a while (it could well be my last traditional desktop system).
