im gonna drop it in my trusty old Abit IC7.

with all those GAT options fully enabled, no other moboard can come close to its speed when using a 533fsb cpu (OCed).

a few early reports saying the 1mb 533 prescott isnt as hindered as a northwood by low fsb (when OCing). in short i guess that means it mops the floor with a 2.4b ;)

i hope thats true cause my 2.6c is barely any faster then my 2.4b was :Q

Good luck, we have the same mobo and RAM so I am interested
in seeing your results. :)

Would not a 2.8E @ 800 with HT outperform a 2.8C @800 with HT?
Which of those two would overclock higher since both have the same multiplier but different cache and instructions?

OK, but why does a 2.8c with HT outperform a 2.8E with HT at the same bus speed? NEVERMIND, I just found the answer in another thread.

i hope i can do better then that, voltage wise.
im curious about actual performance tho, compared to a 2.4b clock for clock.

Hope you still have your old OC notes from the 2.4b days to compare. :)

THUGSROOK is right, if your just playing games you don't need HT
Also Intel made this new core for they be able to get higher speed chip, so overclocking should be good!

Good luck THUGSROOK with you chip!

You guys are forgetting OEM sales for embedded systems or special application systems that don't take advantage of HT technology that are very price conscious. This fits in the area that presently is using up the dwindling supply of 2.0GHz chips.
