Intel released version 2.0 of its Application Accelerator. Backup before using stuff like this!

I gather that this is just a revision of the Intel motherboard chipset drivers. If it's well-written it certainly could accelerate certain disk- and memory-access functions, probably improve stability too...but I read that a lot of people saw no improvement with first "release" of these, and apparently some people had real problems with peripherals not working right after installation. I'll wait until Anand or some other brave authority figure runs it on a few testbeds...

Just be careful with this.

On two different Montherboards, CUSL-2 board also, when I updated the Intel Chipset drivers my sytem blue-screened every boot-up. Safe mode or last known config.....

Ended up having to install the OS again and load all apps.

Was running Windows 2000 Pro SP2 at the time.....

i kept getting the blue screen too
i have a dell computer though..so i guess maybe thats y
like it says on different websites, if theres nothing wrong with ur computer, u don't really need it

YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE CHIPSET CHECKING UTILITY AND CHECK YOUR INTEL CHIPSET, THE APPLICATION ACCELERATORE IS ONLY FOR THE CHIPSET 800 SERIES.

READ THE INSTRUCTION CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU INSTALL.
