Intel Q9650 Quad voltage question

Do you mean to run at stock speeds? If so look in bios for a normal setting or auto setting and see what the board gives it.

I don't know about that. I had my 9550 on auto and it was almost at 1.4. I would put the voltage at 1.2 and see how it works for you.

No doubt. I had my Q9550 on auto for over a month and my stupid motherboard was running it at 1.56V! I'm lucky it didn't fry it.

You both had your CPUs at stock clocks of 2.83Ghz?

AUTO if stock, manually set it to around 1.2v to start (increase if/as needed) if OCing.

Never leave it AUTO when OCing.

my Q9650 did 3.8GHz at 1.25v stock after i manually locked it in. it did 4GHz at 1.296v as well, which is still somewhat low
