Running orthos stressing four cores at stock speeds for an hour, SpeedFan reports ~65C for each core (adjusted with 15C offset), yet the heatsink barely feels warm to the touch.

Is this normal? Is this a sign that this cooler is horrible at transfering heat from the cpu to the heatsink?

Feel it closer to the base near the cpu :)

It might be a sign the heatsink is not seated quite right .. What is the CPU temp ( not core ) being reported as ?

I like PC Wizard

The first time I installed the Intel cooler , one of the four pins was not seated
and it caused a similar problem .

It's hard to tell if you don't have the motherboard out of the case..

I did have that problem when my comp was locking up while trying to install Vista. One of the pins wasn't in and I had to push it in all the way.

I'll check the CPU temp when I get home from work.
