Intel PROSet/Wireless can't renew IP Address

Hello, all
I have an Inspiron 600m. i have the Intel Pro/Wireless 2915ABG card. I've had the laptop for a month and it's been running just fine. But when I tried making another User Account for my dad today, I couldn't set up his network connection properly. I run a 128-bit WEP encryption, and I'm sure I entered the key properly. Finally, after a few tries, it worked. But then when I logged onto my User Name, Intel PROSet/Wireless wasn't able to connect me to the internet. The program would recognize that there's an available network and would automatically connect. But then there's another icon in the system tray Acquiring Network Address. I think that means it's renewing its network IP Address. But then a bubble pops up saying "Wireless Network Connection This Connection has limited or no connectivity. You might not be able to access the Internet or some network resources. For more information, click this message." I tried repairing my wireless connection, but there is an error saying" Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Renewing your IP address"

It's really weird, because I can connect to the Internet just fine if I use the Windows utility, but I'd rather prefer the PROSet if it will ever work. Can anyone lend some help?

Thanks,
febuld

ok- I don't know if this will help or even applies but, basically, you need to set it up either through the Proset OR through the Windows utility; if you want to access the Internet through the Proset client, make sure the Windows wireless connection is disabled so they aren't fighting each other (do NOT set it up via the Windows wireless connection wizard).
Again- I'm just passing along some limited knowledge while I research how to share a printer, so I am not sure if this will help you at all.
