I searched the forum and didn't find any references to this thread so far, sorry if it's a repost.

It's that time of the year again and the Intel Retail Edge promotion is back. Basically for those who are new to this promo it's a way for people who sell PCs that use Intel processors to buy the technology for use in your own pc to better help your sales abilities.

Basically it's a great way to get an awesome deal on new hardware. Here's the deal:

This year you have to earn "Chips" toward eligibility. In order to be eligible for the promotion you have to earn at least 7,000 to have a chance to get in on the deal. Those who earn 10,000 chips will be guaranteed at bundle, while supplies last. To get chips all you have to do is visit the site and take quizes and read articles. Each "Challenge" has a specific chip value. So basically keep visiting the site and taking all the challenges that come available until you reach the goal.

You will be working towards a bundle that includes:

Intel P4 550 CPU w/HT 1MB L2
Intel Desktop Board D915PBL
MS Windows XP Pro

You will have to buy the bundle, but after the promotion the price is only $199 (Plus shipping)

I have had the fortune of getting in on this deal twice before, unfortunately since Gateway closed its retail stores I don't work for a qualifying company. You can visit the site to see if your company qualifies.

The promo runs Oct 20th to Nov 20th. Once you qualify and submit everything they WILL verify your employment. Don't even try if you don't work at one of the places listed. Don't try to get other people to get it for you on this forum. It happens every time and turns into a flame fest. Once Intel verifies everything and approves you they will mail you (yes snail mail) that has a discount code. Take the code to Intel.com and add the bundle to your cart. Upon checkout enter the code and voila the discount takes place. This takes some time... Expect to hear nothing for a month or two, and expect delays in shipment. Last year we got them in January.

Good luck to everyone, enjoy.

One thing that might not be true. You get an email with the code and not the snail mail.
