For those of you who don?t have a Fry's near you:

I went to Best Buy tonight to PM a Fry's that is all the way across town (from this post ) to get the webcam for $49.99. The webcam shows as $99 on BB's web site and that was also the price on the shelf, but when I went to checkout it rang-up at $49.97, so there was no need to price match. The sales guy was actually surprised that their price was lower than fry's.

I don't know if this is the case at all BB's or if I just got lucky. This was the Best Buy in Grapevine TX.

Best Buy prints out a rebate form when purchased or here is a Link to the rebate form from Intel.

Is there a limit to the number of rebates per person or address? The rebate form doesn't seem to mention this. There's a phone number to call 1-877-776-0139, but it's 2:30 AM so I don't think anyone's there to answer.

And if you can't get the Intel one, Circuit City has the Logitech QuickCam Express 9611830403 buy one get one free after MIR. $39.99 after $10 rebate. This is from 12-2 ad. I don't know any other details as the site is closed right now for maintenance.

I think you just got lucky - it rang up at $99.99 here in Lakeland's Best Buy :(

Never mind, I walked away with the Buslink 16x10x40 CDRW, Nike mp3 player and 50 CDR's :)

Word of warning.. Logitech's have pretty consistently gotten horrible reviews, especially for their pricepoint. 2 for 40 or 50 might be all they are worth. The intel's on the other hand have gotten pretty good reviews I think. Was that bestbuy camera jsut the regular pro or the deluxe with the composite input ?

I agree with lzpoof about the Logitec Quickcam Express - it is just junk IMHO, a friend of mine has one and she was not impressed when I showed her the difference with my Ezonics EZ Cam Pro on her system.

Only get the Logitec if you don't care about image quality/frame rates and on a very low budget! It needs a lot of light to get reasonable looking images.

The Ezonics cams also tend to get bad reviews but the EZ Cam Pro is a very decent performer - however, for the price difference I''d go for the Intel - a buddy of mine has it and it gives a very clear bright image :)

A lot of camera reviews that I have read are not too accurate in real life though. Always read the users reviews after reading the cnet.com reviews.

<< Make sure you don't pick up the 'Intel Pro Video PC Camera' it is $99. The one that is $49 is the 'Intel Pro PC USB Camera'.

Links at Intel's site
Intel Pro PC USB Camera
Intel Pro Video PC Camera
>>

Just did the same deal at Office Depot but I made a mistake, picked up the PC video camera PRO.
I think $29 w/o rebate for this Intel Pro Video PC Camera[/i] >>

should be OK.
Pricematched with FRYS $49.99-$10 Coupon-$10 GC(Advertisement) = $29.99+tax

Whats your opinion? Should I return this this camera becuase rebate is not available?
IS there any rebate available for this camera

Thanks

Just saw a Big Lots commercial advertising this camera for $30 without any rebates or anything. Not sure if Big Lots is a national chain (I'm in Ohio), but if you could get BB to price match the Big Lots price, then use the rebate, you could get this webcam for free :)

The camera you saw at BigLOts or MacFrugal flyer is PC Camera Deluxe.

BigLOts or MacFrugal= Same Company
