Is the performance of these new Intel Pro/100 S desktop adapters just as good as the Pro/100+ or Pro/100B cards were (for home, unencrypted use), or is the new chipset optimized for encryption which makes it take a performance hit?
You can find these in the $30 range so I don't mind paying a little extra for the quality, but if they aren't the same as their predecessors then I'll look elsewhere.
