Intel price cuts hitting retail when?

Anyone know? Wondering if it would be worthwhile to hold off 2 weeks to buy a 2.53 (or greater, depending on price cuts) CPU or should I just go for it now.. Definitely need it within 2 weeks though (order date).

I heard price cuts coming mid October. Intel reported back to school sales were disappointing promting another price cut on the higher end processors.
