Im looking to find a good motherboard for a 3.4ghz intel Pentium D processeor. Not looking to overclock just want some stable with good speeds to go along with it. Currently i have a AGP video card but i suppose i might be upgrading to a Pci express so thats a non factor but most of my other devices are PCI standard stuff. ANy tips would be appreciated.

Intel BOXDG965WHMKR LGA 775 Intel G965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121052
GMA X3000 Integrated video will pull you thru until you buy the card (fine for desktop, movies, but for demanding 3D games you'll definitely need to upgrade). Supports Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad, has 8 channel sound, RAID, IEEE 1394, and gigabit LAN.

If you're OK with micro-atx:

Intel BOXD946GZISSL LGA 775 Intel 946GZ Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121046
Integrated video will be ok until you buy the gfx card. Supports Core 2 Duo for future upgrades; however no Quad-core support. 6 channel sound, 100 Mbps LAN.

If you are buying your PCI-E x16 gfx card right now you can also consider:
Intel BOXDP965LTCK LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

6 Channel sound, IEEE 1394, GbE, no RAID

I recently upgraded my everyday PC to a 805D with a GA-8I865GME-775-RH motherboard. I wanted to keep my AGP card and still use my DDR memory. It's been rock solid from the first day. The only thing I wish I had know was that there are no OC options in the BIOS.
