Might be cheaper than newegg, but for that money you can get a dual-core Opteron 175 these days.

Comon guys, help intel sell more of these overpriced chips. They gotta keep up with AMD in terms of revenue even though their desktop chip sales is lower than AMD (october sales report).

These are the high end Extremely Expensive chips. I think they have unlocked multipliers and I doubt a A64 3000+ will out perform this... The EE chips are supposed to be the equivilent to the AMD FX chips. Pretty good price considering other EE and FX chips are ~$1000.
