Intel P4 D850GBC, D850MV - need diff I/O shield?

The Intel P4 motherboards with audio/lan use a new back-panel I/O arrangement with the audio connectors stacked vertically, so the "universal" I/O shield shipped with most cases won't work.

Does the D850GBC need a different I/O shield even though it doesn't have the audio / lan? If so, does the boxed version come with it?

The D850MV socket 478 board always has audio according to the intel website -- does the boxed version ship with a replacement back panel / I/O shield?

Thanks!

Both the retail and oem versions ship with the correct backplates. If your vendor does not ship the backplate with the OEM version then something is wrong.
