Asus P4C800-E - 2-port Firewire chip powers a rear backplate port and has a 9-pin header for a front port
Abit IC7/IC7-G/IC7-MAX3 (although, in their infinite wisdom, Abit uses a 3-port TI chip, that has one output on the backplate, TWO headers, and they include a two-port rear slot cover bracket. So, you either have to use an aftermarket single-port bracket, or you have a non-functioning port in the back, and a cable dangling off the slot cover. Bad.
Check manuals for current i875 and i865 boards.. it's a part of the research I do for every motherboard I buy - efficiency and logic of the back panel and connectors.
