Do you think intel will ever allow their boreds to be overclocked? And is it normal to see my 1.6 to be shown as 1589 or 1595Mhz on a intel mobo?

No, that would defeat their pricing scheme. Why would you pay top dollar for a 2.8GHz CPU when you could oc a 1.8GHz for less than half the cost.

edit: I bet Intel engineers have custom boards they can play with ;)

They don't unlock their CPUs for overclocking (thank god for FSB adjustments), same goes for the mobos.
