Intel or AMD?

There are so may threads on this check the Processor forums, Overclockers forums. This decision is 100% opinion. The Intel performs marginally faster than a 2800+ and the 2800+ is slightly more money but its all relative. Its more like which do you prefer Lexus or Infinity both are great cars in comparable price ranges and have similar styles. Its all opinion. Let the flame war begin.
 
I like Whips comparason.In this past months issue of MaximumPc mag they compared those two cpus as the AMD was like a dodge 426 hemi.Brute power off the line up to about 6grand,then it would fall off.The p4 was more like a 12 cyl Jag that pulled all the way thru its pwr band.Both are really nice and both will do more than enough to satisfy you.I like Intel,it has a better resale value to joe-blow,who dosent know how good an AMD chip can be.
 
P 4 is $100.00 more, is it $100.00 better?

Hmmm...I don't think so!!! It is like 50 dollars....check pricewatch...Lets get facts straight before the flame war starts.....

The fact is now the software is the limitation in a majority of apps the difference may be very neglible...Each would be a wise choice....

OCing = Intel
Price = AMD
Upgradability = INtel platform
Gaming = AMD/Intel
Multimedia = Intel/AMD
