HI Guys I hope you can maybe help me with a problem

We had some Netport Express Print Servers in a 192 range , but recently the people who maintain the switches and routers have decided to drop the range completely and now I only have useless print servers in my authority . The new ip address range is in the 10 range , and therefore I am unable to even ping my print servers from anywhere .

So my question is

Is it possible to clear these little buggers config , let them get a DHCP address and then config them with 10 X static addresses. ?

I have tried everything , and can't figure out what I'm going to do
Replies Appreciated

Sure is, I have a bunch of these crappy, old print servers myself.

You wont even need DHCP.

Get yourself a laptop or one of your pc's. Get the Intel Netport manager software ( I believe Intel still has it on their site, I also have it if you need it)

Install it to the pc.
Hook the printerservers up to a switch (or 1` at a time if u dont have a spare) and conect the laptop/pc
make sure your IP on the pc/laptop is in the same subnet (not sure if it needs to be, but better safe then sorry, I imagine it does), then search for the printers and reconfigure the IP addy, name, gateway etc.

:)

Nice and easy my friend!

doh, here is link for software: intel netport
