I noticed on my new Dell desktop there is an "Intel Multi Display" option in the BIOS that lets me use an add-on PCI-E graphics card along with the iGfx for 4 displays (or even more?). Even though this PC is not for gaming, i'm throwing in a low-end, low-profile PCI-E card so I can get 1440p DVI-D dual-link output. Even if I'm just running 2 displays, would there be a benefit of running one display off the dedicated graphics and one off the integrated graphics?
It's a 6th gen Core i3 and I put in a spare AMD Radeon HD 5450 for now until I figure out what's the best option for a single-slot low-profile graphics card without power connector requirement.
