Intel motherboard - no boot

Hi all - trying to troubleshoot something, and just thought I'd post to see if there's something I'm missing.

I have an Intel motherboard (865-based) Prescott 3.4ghz some GSkill 512mbx2 PC3200, Seasonic 350w, and inside an Ahanix Black Knight. The motherboard as a built in speaker. Motherboard video is being used.

Turning it on gives me power to all components and fans, etc, so I know the headers and PSU are in right. But I have no video, no speaker, no other feedback.

My next plan was to try a "definitely working" motherboard. But before I do - is there anything else I should try first? Is the ram maybe a problem?
