I'm looking at an Intel motherboard, one of their latest models. Home office use. No gaming or overclocking. My priorities are stability, reliability, and compatability.
Is Intel a good choice? Or is there a better choice out there?

If you feel Intel will work for you, I would stick with them. But, I would also check into their direct rma process, in case your vender has a time limit on warranty claims. For online rma (return merchandise authorization) I've had good luck with both abit and albatron. The most recommended motherboard I've seen in the 3 forums I read everyday is the abit is7.

If you get yourself an Intel 865PERL you won't have to worry about the online RMA process because the board won't break. It's a stable, fast, reliable board. It has 2 SATA channels, 8 USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire port, onboard sound and LAN. $111 from Newegg.

If you're not going to OC, and your priorities are as stated then an Intel m/b should be a good choice IF you've already decided on an Intel processor.
