Intel mobile processors with vPro + KVM?

Hi anandtech,

I am having trouble finding out which intel processors support vPro and KVM on laptops.

From what I've gathered, to use KVM, the laptop must support integrated graphics and vPro.

I am looking to buy a Sandy Bridge i5 or i7 laptop very soon.

I know very little about Intel's offerings (been an AMD man for six years and counting. I think the Sandy Bridge lineup is too good to delay my decision between AMD and Intel and I need the laptop ASAP).

vPro is for corporate managed environments.- Not individual use. AMD traditionally has leveraged the DASH specifications as an alternative to Intel's vPro, though they have something new since I last touched it.

Unless you have SCCM, Alteris, LANDesk, etc as a system's management console, you are limited to using the DEV tools for vPro, which are somewhat limited.

I'm not understanding what your KVM need is that would be different from other users... Please elaborate.
