Well, I was starting to read the Intel MB article on the front page and when I went to the next page, it disappeared. Since I only got through the first page, I hadn't quite gotten the gist of it. Anyone read it and care to comment on what it was about?

They pulled the article. It basically said that the MSI wouldn't overclock and had stability issues when trying to drop the multiplier on the 840EE (wouldn't boot). The Gigabyte was slower but allowed you overclock better. It wasn't up long; I've seen this happen before; kinduv fishy. If they feel that an article is worthy of posting, then they should leave it up and simply update it as needed. My guess is they were pressured to retract it b/c of bad performance. We'll see

The article is back up.

This article was actually on hold while we were waiting for a reply from nVidia and MSI on the Dual-Core problems we found. Unfortunately there was a glitch with the posting engine and the article posted by mistake. We pulled the article as soon as we realized what had happenned. We sincerely apologize for the error but wanted to make sure we had verification from NVIDIA and MSI about the issues we found.

We had several conversations with NVIDIA over the past couple of days along with support from MSI. They never once pressured us in anyway and were extremely helpful. I believe they were very honest in their response about the technical issues with the current chipset revision and assured us they will be corrected in the next release. Once we had this information confirmed the article was revised and reposted. Once again I apologize for any issues caused by the early posting.
