Pretty good performance, and with only PC800 RDRAM no less. I just want to know why PC1066 hasn't been validated? PC800 has been around for 2.5+ years! Release it already I say!

Hmm, Tom's Hardware or HardOCP hasn't rolled out thiers yet, was wondering if either of them was going to use the PC1066 on their reviews.

Man, those are some nice looking numbers. I hope AMD is planning on getting back in the game SOON.

If you don't OC, AMD still has unbeatable price/performance ratio. Of course, those 1.6A chips look sweet @2.4, but for those who don't OC Athlon XP is the perfromance/money king right now.

Well done for Intel. unfortunately for AMD, they are out of the game until Hammer is released since they could not ramp up the faster mhz (or so called PR to equal Intel's mhz) to compete with intel right now.

Intel wins this round as in performance king...

This could have something to do with the d*ckheads over at Rambus, thats my best bet. But since you can get PC1066 off google gear and the like, who cares.

Is it the true PC1066? The 32-bit stuff?

I wish Anand had done some overclocking tests, as well. :\

The P4 has taken a much more significant lead with the 2.53GHz 533MHz FSB CPU + PC800 RAM. It will take at least a 2400+ Tbred to be able to compete with this.

One question, where are the 2.53GHz parts? Is this a paper launch? They aren't listed on pricewatch at all, so they can't be too widely spread...

The Pentium4 is certainly getting better and better every day and I can't wait to see what PC1066 and DDR333/DDR400 will do on it. :)

AMD has been facing these speeds since the 1.6A came out. I doubt anything is changing soon.

Anyone notice that the P4 2.0A and P4 2.0 benchmarks were flip flopped on some of the benchmarks? This just reaffirms that Intel does indeed have the fastest Desktop CPU. I really reached that conclusion with the 2.4 NW, this just reaffirms it. I wish Anand had used PC1066 in all the tests, I guess however that I have to admit that the results for it weren't there at this time. I still maintain that PC1066 is the future, and I will still recommend it. And I agree, WHY DIDN'T INTEL MAKE PC1066 SUPPORT OFFICAL!?!?!?!??!!?!!! *end short rant*,

EDIT: Just thought I'd add, its not over for AMD until Hammer. I Predict that a 1.9GHz Athlon XP would compete with the 2.4B and would start reaching 2.53 levels. COme on AMD, why don't you launch T-Bred?

Oh and I was just wondering what ppl thought about the SSE2 benchmarks used? Anyone know if they are being used out there? I wish Maya and 3DS Max were included
