I'm in a catch 22 trying to install either Intel's Matrix Storage Manager or Intel's Rapid Storage Technology under Vista 32. Device manager shows ICH9 so both programs say the hardware isn't supported when I attempt install either program. If I change the system BIOS from IDE to RAID I go into a constant loop, i.e. boot up screen, Intel Storage Manager Option ROM v7.5.1017 ICHR9 (AHCI BIOS installed), to the screen allowing me select Vista's safe or normal startup and then back to reboot. It seems that I have to be in the RAID mode to allow either Intel program to install but I can't install either if I'm in the RAID mode since I can't get into Vista.
I want to do a migration rather then a new install hence preserving what is on the original drive and just mirror the new matching drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
