Intel i845G Chipset -> Dual Channel ?

does the intel i845g chipset take advantage of dual channel? or should i just buy i stick of ram?

IIRC, all 845 series chipsets only support single channel memory.

Yep, the i845 was strictly single channel. Dual channel DDR was formally introduced for Intel desktop systems with the i865/i875 chipsets. There was briefly an E7205 workstation chipset that preceeded those, but it wasn't all that common.
