Intel i7 920 CPU was $199 at MicroCenter (now $230)

Wow, those things are getting cheap quick.

But I'm happy with C2Q setup so I'll leave this smoking hot deal for everybody else.

any store its NOT OOS in?

MC online inventory isn't really accurate. They say OOS online but at the store there's always a stockpile of them. It's better to stop by the store or call to check.

+1!! I called the DFW store, they just got a shipment in the morning and have about 10 or so in stock even though it says OOS on the website. I scored a D0 for $199.99!! Thanks fatdragondzc

How come I did not see the thread yesterday? OOS in both stores in Atlanta....

What is the easiest way to tell it is a D0 stepping?

Just so I'm clear on this....is an X58 based mobo the only Intel chipset capable of using an i7 proc?

Thanks,

Bud

Argh, should I upgrade to this from an E8400? When all is said and done, I might be able to make it for ~$100..
