Intel i5 2500k Oc Help

I'm pretty good when it comes to OCing video cards but this is really my first step at overclocking my i5 2500k, i have the Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 motherboard, i selected the 4.0ghz profile it has preloaded, and left voltages set to auto, is this alright?

Yup absolutely fine for a mild OC.

If you decide to push it further in the future dont use auto overclock for 4.6ghz or higher as the board feeds it too much voltage at that point.

i noticed its already feeding too muc voltage on auto settings, temps are hitting 87C on stock cooler, gonna take it back to stock until i get a better cooler
