Intel i5 2500k integrated video

How do I use it ? Do I need a certain motherboard ? The person doesn't game so they really don't need a powerful GPU or would it just be better to get a dedicated graphics card?

Steps to use integrated video.

Purchase H61, H67, Z68, Z77, Z75 or H77 motherboard with desired video output connection.
If it says P67...push to side. It does not support integrated GPU on chip.
Drop in i5-2500k
assemble the rest of the computer.
Plug monitor into VGA\DVI\HDMI
Turn on power
DONE!!!!

After OS loads up, you will want to use up to date drivers but thats it.

If you don't want to overclock then the H61 or H67 will also work for the 2500k's iGPU. I would still go for a Z68 or Z77 motherboard.

I used the IGP on my 2500K for 4 months, it works very well for what it is; I even used it to play MW2. It sounds like it would be ideal for your build purposes.
