a few questions for those who are in the know...

is hyperthreading only supported by the 850e chipset? what chipsets do support it? Is it reasonable to go with a DDR solution cus RDRAM is being phased out? what's so great about granite bay? how does this DDR chipset differ from the other DDR chipsets?

1. No, HT is supported by
850E and all the 845s, such as the popular 845PE . Here.
2. Yes since DDR is cheaper too.
3. Granite bay utilizes dual channel DDR, therefore effectively doubling the curent througput of ddr266. DC DDR266 is currently equal to PC1066. And Oced Granite Bay really kills PC1066.
4. It differs since it is uses Dual Channel DDR.
