Intel HD 4600 driver (Windows update)

Whenever I do a fresh install of Windows 8, Windows update never recognizes the Intel HD 4600. Device manager shows that I have a generic graphics driver, and I have to download the HD 4600 driver from the Intel website. This wasn't a problem with the Intel HD 3000.

Does anybody else have this problem?
 
I personally have never been a fan of installing any drivers that come through Windows Update. I guess I just trust the drivers straight from the MFR than I do from MS. I would imagine that the drivers you're getting from Intel are probably newer than what would be in Windows Update anyway.
 
I haven't had any problems with Win8.1 and the HD 4600 driver. Not sure about Win8 RTM. I stopped using it before Haswell came out.
