Can anyone tell me how good the quality is of the Integrated Graphics Processor- Intel® HD Graphics support on an Asus Z97-A motherboard is. My needs are simple. Largely 2D with movies and the like. No gaming, but I like it with good crisp text and clear graphics and movies. I currently have an EVGA Nvidia GT 640 that is great for my purposes. I am buying a new PC that has the Asus board and the manufacturer is telling me that the Intel graphics is as good if not better than the 640 and fine for my purposes.
Can anyone comment? Else I will put the 640 in my new rig.
Thanks
Brian

The iGPU is absolutely fine and capable for your needs. You won't do much gaming on it, but it's more than enough for movies and general desktop usage.

Well, there are no graphics on the board.

The graphics are part of the Intel chip, not the board.

What processor will you be buying? If you want to know the specifics of the graphics, then we need to know which processor.

As long as it's a recent Intel processor, the graphics will be okay for your purposes.

Okay, both have Intel HD4600, which will be fine for your purposes.
