Through the Intel purchase program we get an Intel DG965WH motherboard and a Core 2 Duo E6300 and Windows Vista Ultimate for a really low price. The motherboard has onboard graphics, Intel® GMA X3000. That onboard gfx is DX10 but is made to support vista aero not necessarily to play games. I'm curious if this would be able to play Battlefield 2 while I wait to see what ATI does with the R600. In my current system I play BF2 on I have a GeForce FX 5700 ULTRA and its just time to upgrade. I just want to see what kind of game play I might expect. The reason why I am not wanting to put a gfx card in the system just yet is because I work for a retailer that sells ATI we get 40% Discount on any ATI products. I don't really want to spend a lot of money then spend even more money when R600 is released. I am building a machine that includes that motherboard and cpu plus 2 Gigs of G.Skill DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 memory.
