Dell and HP are selling desktops with the Media Accelerator 3000 in them, hopefully we'll see some reviews and they'll make their way into laptops!

i actually have an add2-n also. you can get them on ebay for like $12 shipped.

anyhow, what benchmakrs would you guys want anyway? i am not much of a gamer, but i do have company of heroes installed. i am doubting that will even run.

i probably have quake 3 demo or something too. any easy to download benchmarks to try?

Try 3dmark03 as it should actually run on that card. 05 and 06 versions might not even run.

Hmm says it can play FEAR... thats a WOW in my head
I wouldn't worry about it. The drivers they are using right now are 14.21. Full hardware PS3.0 support isn't added until 14.24 and hardware VS and T&L isn't added until 14.26.

It's probably running so bad because it's in GMA950 mode. At 667MHz and with 8 unified shaders it should easily surpass ATI's X700 based IGP and nVidia's 7300 based IGP, both of which look to only have 4PS+2VS. Hopefully with proper drivers it'll give a X1300HM if not a vanilla X1300 a run for it's money. If it is released in August it'll also be the first DirectX 10 compatible graphics chip beating the G80 and the first PC chip with unified shaders beating the R600. If it isn't a flop, it could certainly give AMD reason to buy ATI.

Wrong, the X700 is an 8 Pixel Pipeline with 6 Vertex Shader, I really doubt that the new Intel Graphic Media Deccelerator can outperform it.

Agreed. 8 unified shaders? They have to be configured when playing DX9, e.g 4 acts as PS and 4 as 4VS. Already the X700 beats it in the number of pipelines/VS etc.

This Intels new IGP will have a hard time beating the likes of X1300/7300, if not ATis and NVs own IGP.

Note that clock speed doesnt matter as much, as the most important is architecture efficeny. This is something Intel lacks when it comes to GPUs.

They should all run, barring compatibility issues.

3DMark2001 and 03 will be more than just a slideshow though :p

Other than that ... see the Anandtech X200 vs GMA950 article for ideas. Try to match their test configs, and let's see how they stack up! :D

well my config is some what close to those.

i've got a g965 obviously , a core 2 duo e6300 and 1 gb ddr2-667 and a hitachi hard drive (doubt that matters).

since none of those games are free besides wolf ET, i guess ill try wolf ET. unless there is a free doom3 demo to try, but i guess the score would not be the same.

One site I came across did some comparison benchmarks to the 950.

They scored almost equal - which means it was running in GMA950 mode with old drivers. Not an impressive review, but what can you do when Intel releases a product with broken / no drivers? :(

You are HALF right. X700 is 8 pixel pipeline 6 vertex shader.

Not the X700-based IGP. ATI claimed 2x the performance of Xpress 200, which puts on par or little better than X300 performance. It also has 4 pixel pipelines.
