hi guys...
i am trying to figure out which NIC card to buy...
i am looking at Intel's gigabit single port, copper, rj-45 cards...
Intel CT vs. Intel PT gigabit cards...
the chipset difference is: CT = 82574 ... PT = 82572-GI
on Intels' web site, the PT is recommended for "servers" while the CT is recommended for "desktops"... yet the CT has a newer chip...
i cannot find what the real difference is between these 2 NIC cards...
any and all help woule be appreciated ....
by the way, cost for CT = $30 and PT = $48, both at newegg
