Lowest price ever? Fire sale? Sign that the Ryzen 2200G is killing it in the market?

For gaming, these 2C/4T CPUs are showing their age, but for web browsing boxes, they're still decent. The problem is, the price of DDR4 is high, and mobos for 1151 aren't super-cheap either, at least, not hugely cheaper than AM4 or 1151 (300-series), so there's little reason to pick these CPUs up, just to save $20-30, and limit yourself to two cores.

If you're willing to settle for 100-Series boards like Z170, there are still some good deals to be had on those while they last.

True! Or even a an ASRock DeskMini. :) (Got me several of those when they came out. I used G4600 CPUs, for the extra iGPU muscle, but honestly, for a browsing box, the G4560 is just as good. Have one DeskMini with one of those as well.)

Don't forget to pick up at least 2x4GB DDR4 though to go with it. That's like $80 at the cheapest.

I just built my g3258 and msi mb from the deals last year? Works like a charm replacing the outdated i7-3770 with no usb3 that started having problems.

Newegg had the refurbished MSI B150 board on sale for $19, now OOS. Still have the B150M for $26.
