What video card would this integrated motherboard video be equivalent to? could games be played and videos shown with this product?

basic games yest but it is not for heavy duty 3d gaming. It is very slow plus it shares memory with your system memory. Maybe it would be equivalent to a TNT2. I have that in my laptop. It is very very slow in games but for text, surfing, etc., it is ok.

I can play DVDs but the screen on my laptop is not the greatest either. If the laptop is your main machine, I would for something with better video.

TNT2, pre-geforce? IMHO just spend 30 bucks and get a g2mx at LEAST. It'll be better than that integrated stuff. If you could spend more, buy something better, IE Radeon 9600pro, FX5900 NU, 9700PRO, 9800NP, 9800PRO. Thats where its at.:D:beer:

Yes, get a computer(or motherboard) with a AGP slot at least, so you wont shoot yourself in the foot with no chance to upgrade later. Even if you have to stick a Geforce Pro in it.

the extreme graphics 2 is actually relatively fast.

its probably in the radeon 7000 or radeon LE range.

even an sis 650 is geforce2mx200 class. the original i810 graphics or i815 are probably tnt2 class like the guy said, but the newer one is not nearly as slow.
